The Date Night Session

Reams Photo | Connection Session | Bradford and Stephen | San Diego Wedding Photography_0019

We love our wedding photos.  We love the pictures we have of our engagement in New York, of our first days with Lucy, and of my huge pregnant belly. We love the pictures we have of the three of us, our family.  But photography is more than a chronicling of the “big” stages.  Life is made of lots of tiny moments, of laughs and kisses, of forever love and deepening romance.  As a couple, you grow and change and learn to love more, and there’s a profoundness to your relationship that easily gets overshadowed in your family session.

Let’s step away from the frantic put-the-kids-in-their-itchy-Christmas-sweaters photo shoots for a minute and take time for YOU.

Before your shoot we’ll prepare you with some questions that we’ll ask you to answer during our session.  Your spouse won’t know your questions beforehand and we won’t ever hear your answers.  We want you to connect to each other and we’ll take pictures of who you really are together.  Just you together.  No kids, no elaborate parties, no stressful preparations.  Just show up, together.

We want this to be as accessible and stress-free as possible, so our Date Night Sessions are just 30 minutes long and only $250.  Making them the perfect surprise for under the Christmas Tree, a much needed quiet evening in the midst of crazy December, or a romantic Valentine’s day gift.  Who of us can’t use a 30 minute extraordinary romantic escape in the middle of ordinary life?

“We absolutely loved our photo session with Paul and Amy! Our marriage was surprisingly strengthened by the half hour of laughter and depth; from the conversation it sparked on our date after the photo shoot; as well as from visually experiencing our love through looking and re-looking at the pictures that the Reams so creatively took.  They captured our many feelings for one another. Amy planted questions ahead of time about recent moments of respect and beauty that we saw in each other. We hugged and laughed as we quietly shared our intimate answers to these questions among the rose gardens and fountains at Balboa Park. We felt like newlyweds again:). They are beyond- talented, artistic, thoughtful photographers. What a team! We highly recommend a date night photo shoot/marriage booster with Paul and Amy!” –Bradford and Stephen Phelan
