So since we’ve just started the blog, we thought we’d use Tuesdays and Thursdays for the next few weeks to catch you all up on some of the photos that we took over the last year. Today’s subject: Abie and Aaron’s engagement! What an amazing, crazy day it was…
Aaron thought it out so well, with an itinerary and everything. After secretly flying to Chico to ask her parents’ permission, he called the whole family and had them watch the proposal from a cliff above the beach. Then Paul, Jason, and Chris hid out to take pictures. Paul wore a huge straw hat and asked to sit on a nearby beach blanket with a nice, but unsuspecting, beach-going family.
It started with a quiet beach picnic- Abie had no idea what was about to happen! (You can see one of the photographers, Jason, hanging out in the background while Abie finishes her picnic lunch. She was so oblivious…)
Aaron had waited until this moment to say “I love you,” so you can imagine her surprise when he finished that sentence with a “Will you marry me.”
Also, my favorite part of this photo is Jason in the upper-right hand corner, taking pictures. By this point, both photographers were out in the open, but Abie remained oblivious.
I love this photo.
This moment is great too! Abie realized that she was wearing an engagement ring. 
Then Aaron revealed the photographers…
Then, it was time to photograph Abie sharing a joyful moment with her family.
I really love this picture too! Aaron is on the phone to his parents and Abie is on the phone with a cousin in Portugal. This photo is just full of good news!
