Vivian and David | Engaged | La Jolla, CA

Vivian and David fell in love in the UCSD library as David tirelessly sat next to Vivian while she studied for her pharmaceutical degree.  The roles have switched now that David is in engineering school and we wanted to capture the devotion and quirkiness of late nights in the library.  But as we started to execute our vision, Vivian and David’s playfulness really shined through.  With each other, with the space, and with us.  We had a fantastic time sneaking around the stacks and soon realized we’d been playing for over an hour.

Even though we had all this time to photograph in a top secret place with a page full of predesigned ideas, our best intentions fell to the wayside when the 15 minutes we spent at the La Jolla Cove ended up as the star of the shoot.  It was a crowded beach day and we were a little late to the sunset so there was no way we were expecting these to be anything grand.  But Vivian and David’s playfulness looks gorgeous in front of a dusk backdrop and we are so excited about these pictures.
