Every year, Amy and I spend Thanksgiving up in Chico with her family. This year was particularly special, as we got a chance to take family portraits of Amy’s cousins and their families.
After Zack and Melissa’s portrait session, Zack’s sister, Rachael, arrived with her husband, Nick, and their two children. Nick and Rachael are great parents, and it was a blast to spend the weekend with the family. Also, Nick lobbied the other guys to let me play quarterback in the annual Thanksgiving Day football game, so he’s tops in my book. On a side note, isn’t Thanksgiving wonderful? Football and thankfulness and family and food. That’s just the best.

Nick and Hallie were distracted for a moment and Rachael picked up Caden and walked with him a little bit, and all of a sudden I thought that I was looking at a Gap or J.Crew ad. I just love these next two shots-Rachael looks fantastic and Caden even put on his pouty model face for the pictures!
We had a blast taking pictures of the whole family, but it was especially fun to take a few of Nick and Rachael together.They did a great job of modeling for us and demonstrating that romance isn’t just for those engaged couples and newlyweds.
