Portland Family Portrait: The Sicklers

We’re going to go out of order a little bit here and post our second family portrait shoot before our first.

After Madisen’s senior portrait shoot, we headed over to the Sickler home to photograph a quick, backyard, family portrait session. It was a really great time. The Sickler’s backyard has lots of leaves and flowers to use as textures in the foreground of images and they’re such a nice looking and relaxed family that it was a pleasure for us to photograph them.

Amy took this shot of Jay and Shelly-and I just love it. I just think that the black and white gives it a timeless and romantic feeling. What a cute couple!

I LOVE this shot that Amy took of Madisen’s sister sitting in the porch swing. Her expression is just fantastic, and I love the way that the dress falls off of the swing.

We’d be remiss if we didn’t post any photos of our Portland hosts, and Amy’s aunt and Uncle, who are good friends with the Sicklers. Hi, Uncle Danny! Hi, Aunt Cheri!

After the family portrait session was completed, we had one of our most enjoyable evenings in Portland. The Sickler’s invited us over to dinner and we had a delicious meal that Jay and his wife prepared. Smoked tenderloin, deep fried, twice-baked potatos (yum!!!), a delicious tomato and mozzerella combination, and a quite yummy pomegranate martini that you can see peeking out of the upper left-hand corner in the picture below. So, in light of the meal, we’ve made a few changes to our contract. From now on, providing the photographers with gourmet food and some fancy drinks are a standard part of Reams Photo portrait shoot. OK?
