As I’m sure you’ve noticed, the last couple of weeks have been pretty busy here at Reams Photo. During our Thanksgiving break up in Chico, we took a little time to do the Seedorf, Curry, and the Stephens family portraits. It was a blast getting to know these families better and we’re happy to be able share their images with you.
The bench that you loved from the Stephens family portrait preview was always supposed to be in the picture. It was just supposed to be in the living room. When Patti and Ray contacted us about their family portrait session, they mentioned a backyard session, which we were happy to provide. When we arrived at the house, we scouted out the backyard a little bit (it’s beautiful-you’ll see some images of it in a future post). Then, Patti showed us her bench, which she’d recently had refinished, and mentioned that she’d been thinking about moving it into the yard for the portrait session. Amy and I had spent the day before walking through Bidwell Park, so as soon as we heard that taking the bench outside was an option we suggested a little trip to the park, with the bench in Ray’s truck.
The Stephens were such a pleasure to get to know. They’re accommodating (thanks for moving the bench, Ray), welcoming (thanks for the Thanksgiving cookies, Patti), and downright adorable (thanks for wearing that cute little hat, Sophia). Hope you enjoy the images!
P.S. Incidentally, double-bonus Reams Photo points to Mandy, who you see in the maternity shots below. We took these photos on her due date, but she was a total trooper for the entire session, even when we asked her to tightrope walk across a fallen log! Thanks, Mandy!

I love this portrait of Patti and Ray!

We asked for the “royal family” looks, and this is the image that we got. Who’s got the best royal family face? My vote’s for Ray.
