Since we’re launching the blog and the new website, we wanted to keep everyone updated on what Paul and Amy, or Reams Photo, have been up to photographically for the last year or so. To facilitate that process, we’ve got a little feature called “The Reams Photo Year in Review” that we’ll be producing every week-ish. Here’s one now:
Our first portrait session of the new year was an impromptu session that we held at a beach in Orange County, CA. Amy and I love shooting portraits at the beach, and we were really fortunate to have a photo subject like Chris. He was willing to get really silly for his portraits, which we loved. I’m also secure enough to note that he’s a good looking guy, which doesn’t hurt at all. Thanks for kicking Reams Photo off to such a great start this year, Chris!

We told you that Chris was willing to do anything. Witness the first Reams Photo handstand photograph. You could be the second!

This is my favorite photo of the day. I love the blown out highlights look anyway, and I think that this portrait just works. When Chris releases his second solo album, I want this to be the cover.

One of the benefits of shooting photographs with your spouse is the chance to take a picture that really captures her in an embarrassing moment. I love Amy’s focus and concentration in this shot-tongue out, eye closed. She’s ready.
