A couple days after Christmas, Amy and I had a pretty busy Sunday afternoon. We woke up in Orange County after celebrating with Amy’s family in San Clemente and headed down the coast towards San Diego. On our way, we met up with a family in Vista for family photos, took a quick lunch break, and then headed down to Tierrasanta for another family portrait session. It was a really busy day, but having great families to work with really made it a fun day for us.
Our first stop on the San Diego family portrait tour was Vista for the Phillips family. We know the Justin, Melissa, and their son Amare from Harbor Mid-City, the church that Amy and I attend, and we were really excited to meet the rest of the family. Everyone seemed to really have fun and get along well together and it was fun to watch the whole family laugh together as the three boys engaged in horseplay of various sorts and yelled “CHEESE!” to the camera as loudly as they could.
These nephews really love their uncle!
Amare got all dressed up for the pictures.
And Ethan looks like a Baby Gap model on this chair. Work it, Ethan!
I love this portrait of the three cousins!
And this is my favorite photo of the day. These brothers were pretty excited to give each other a big hug and I love the way that this conversion to black and white worked!
We did lots of smaller family portraits as well, and really liked this shot of Justin, Melissa, Amare, and Ricardo
A portrait of the four siblings.
And a proud Papa
We’ll end with an image that I really like of Justin and Melissa.
