Reams Photo in Paris

As you read a few days ago, Amy and I recently got the opportunity to visit Europe for the first time. We arrived in Paris on March 17th, and spent the first few days in Paris. Since we were chaperoning 31 students and staying on a very tight tour schedule, it was difficult to find photo opportunities. However, Amy and I did bring a camera–this time just Amy’s new D300 and our new Sigma 30/1.4.

Here’s my favorite portrait from the trip–our friends and fellow chaperons Mike and Amanda at the Arc de Triomphe.
and another quick capture of Mike and Amanda:

We also found time to take a couple shots of some of the sights.

I tried to storm Versailles, but settled for taking a photo or two of the gardens:

Of course, one of the highlights of any Paris trip is the cathedral at Notre Dame:

Of course, Amy and I were happy to see Helix students representing on the trip:)

We got lots of Obama questions while we were overseas.

Although we didn’t get to capture any Paris weddings, or even do as much portrait photography as we had initially intended, we still had a great time in Paris. Next time we go, I hope that we’re headed there to take destination wedding photos. We need some destination wedding photos up on reamsphoto.com:)

I’ll close our Paris pictures with my favorite portrait of Amy and I from the trip, taken in front of Sacre Coeur:
