Abie and Aaron’s Wedding (Part 1): The Reams Photo Year in Review

We’re back on schedule! After a busy week we’re able to return to our “Year in Review” series. And we’re back with a bang- Abie and Aaron’s wedding.

As they were wedding planning, Abie and Aaron decided they wanted their wedding to be all about the people they loved. So rather than limiting the guest list, they decided to cut costs by having the wedding reception in Abie’s parents backyard. The result was a beautiful, elegantly casual, community oriented wedding. And you can’t get much lovelier than Chico, CA in the fall.

Here’s my favorite “guest” portrait. Although it looks like we might have pulled him off the street, this is Abie’s brother, Josiah, directing traffic before putting on his suit.

The house was bustling, like a scene from Father of the Bride. Everyone was involved arranging bouquets, hanging lights, decorating tables, and everything else you can think of. We were just missing the swans in the bathtub!

Here is a picture of the flowers as well as a photo of the gorgeous cake by Deb Gilbert.

Meanwhile, Abie and her bridesmaids were getting ready upstairs.

Here’s a picture of Abie seeing herself in the mirror for the first time as a bride. I can’t get enough of these moments!

Eventually we all moved over the the ceremony site by the creek, where Abie’s super cute nieces were waiting in their flower girl dresses.

This is my favorite picture of the ceremony. It was perfect, even the wind cooperated beautifully.

Thursday I’ll post our wonderful post-ceremony wedding portrait session. Stay tuned!
